Straton Sporthorses is based at Hullfields Farm in Woodbine, MD, and also offers services in the surrounding area. Trainer Katie Straton specializes in dressage, but has experience with eventers, hunters, and jumpers as well.  Katie’s training methods follow classical dressage principles, which systematically develop each horse to reach their natural potential.  She particularly enjoys working with young horses, giving them a well-rounded start to a career in any discipline. 
Katie's teaching style emphasizes classical equitation and horsemanship.  Lessons may include lunge work, theory and un-mounted work in addition to riding. We also offer a fine selection of quality sporthorses for sale to suit a variety of budgets and disciplines.  For more information on training or sales, please see our Services page.

Boarding is available at Hullfields for clients interested in entering a training program or consigning a horse. We provide inclusive full care board so that you can be sure that all of your horse's needs are met. Everything from training, feeding, and health programs to daily care, handling, and turnout is individualized and closely monitored to ensure happy, healthy partners that are capable and willing to perform. 
The facility offers an oversized indoor arena attached to the barn, a large grass outdoor, lots of room to hack, and close access to the Patuxent River State Park.  The barn boasts two aisleways of large, airy box stalls, two wash stalls, a full bathroom with shower, and a boarder's lounge for viewing the indoor arena.
